A Life-Changing Experience with Support Every Step of the Way

Our mission is simple: to provide an international experience that helps students grow into confident, capable, and globally minded adults—while ensuring they are supported every step of the way.

Personalized Support

From the moment students arrive in the Czech Republic, our team is here to help them settle in, answer questions, and navigate life abroad.

Respected University Partner

Students become part of Masaryk University with dedicated international offices, academic advisors, student organizations, and campus resources.

Real Personal Growth

Living overseas challenges students in the best possible way. They return home more confident, adaptable, and self-reliant.

A Program That Knows Your Student

Unlike larger study abroad providers, Czechmates works closely with every participant. We know our students not just by name, but by their intentions and aspirations.

Why Study Abroad or Complete an International Internship?

An international education is about much more than earning academic credits. Students who study abroad develop skills that cannot be replicated in a traditional classroom.

Living in another country encourages students to:

Build confidence through real-world problem solving.
Develop independence and resilience.
Improve communication and intercultural skills.
Gain a broader global perspective.
Create lifelong friendships and professional networks.
Stand out to future employers with international experience.

For students completing internships, the benefits extend even further. They gain, among other skills:

practical workplace experience
collaborative opportunities with international colleagues
a chance to develop interpersonal skills related to adaptability and professionalism

Helping Students Grow into Independent Adults

We believe the best support doesn't remove every challenge—it helps students learn how to overcome them with confidence.

  • Support of CzechMates

Czechmates provides personalized, hands-on guidance prior, during and after the students' time abroad. By intentionally working with a smaller number of students, we get to know each participant personally and can offer individualized assistance whenever it's needed.

  • University Network

Our partner at Masaryk University has a dedicated international office that assists with academics, enrollment, campus resources, student organizations, counseling services, and other aspects of university life.

This means students enjoy the personal attention of Czechmates while also having access to the extensive services, facilities, and opportunities offered by a major European university.

  • Our Approach

Our goal is to help students return home more confident, self-sufficient, and prepared for whatever comes next.

We believe our role is to provide guidance and support when it's needed while encouraging students to take ownership of their experience. It's this balance between support and independence that creates lasting personal growth.

Parents can have peace of mind knowing there is always someone nearby who understands both the local environment and the unique needs of international students.

  • Why Brno and the Czech Republic?

Parents are often pleasantly surprised to discover what Brno and the Czech Republic has to offer international students.

    A Safe Environment

The Czech Republic consistently ranks among the safest countries in the world. Brno is a welcoming city where students regularly walk, use public transportation, and enjoy city life comfortably.

    A True Student City

Brno is home to multiple universities and tens of thousands of students from around the world. The city offers a vibrant academic atmosphere, making it easy for international students to build friendships, participate in activities, and feel connected.

    Affordable European Living

Housing, transportation, dining, and entertainment are significantly more affordable than many other destinations, allowing students to enjoy their experience while being cost conscious.

    Easy to Explore Europe

Located in the heart of Europe, Brno provides convenient access to many of Europe's most iconic destinations. Krakow, Budapest, Prague, and Vienna are all within a 4 hour train or bus ride.

    Our Commitment to Your Family

Studying abroad is a shared journey between students, families, universities, and Czechmates. From arrival to departure, we provide the support and guidance students need to feel confident, connected, and prepared to thrive.

At the same time, we believe growth comes from giving students room to explore, make decisions, solve problems, and discover what they are capable of.

    FAQ for parents

  • Costs

We know that when it comes to studying abroad, finances often play a large role. The cost of our program greatly depends on your student’s home university and policy. Some home universities set their own fees, and others require students to pay us directly with a small study abroad fee going to the home university.

We encourage your student to ask their local study abroad advisor what the policy is at their university.
